Getting back to the Stash Busting CC at Savvy this month, I managed to finish the BLIND SCRAP for the firs time ever without help. I must be getting used to reading instructions..LOL
Anyways…here it is
And a little close up
…from Inspired Blueprints #68 is up and running on the blog and site.
Oh yeah, suppose you want the sketch too…ROFL
Savvy is having their CC this week, and the theme is STASH BUSTING. I am always looking for a goo excuse to use up scraps and older stash.
Kerryn put forward the challenge to use old stash from before 2010, make your own embellishment and use 2 cardstocks
and here are my handmade embellishments (felt flower and paper rosette)
And then Anthea challenged us to a similar challenge, with papers older than 2010, handmade embellishment and NO cardstock
and a close-up of the handmade paper flower
San challenge up to make some tags out of scraps
here is one on it’s own
We also did a BLIND SCRAP, and I am dying to share it this month, as I actually did it without difficulty, so now I am just wondering if I did it right…ROFL
…with the new Bo Bunny range. Here is my latest Step by Step at Anna’s Craft Cupboard with this super groovy, spaced out boy range…LOVE the primary colours
gotta love it
Cannot believe how far behind I have gotten with this project, but I am almost caught up now, just this week to go
So here we go.
Week 9
Week 10
Week 11
Now just to get a picture of Evie on her birthday and I will be up to date! So you had better email me one Susan !
Ever wondered to yourself “What am I going to do with these GIANT journal blocks?” I know I have. When I got the ‘Isla’ Kit Storyboard Kits this month, I saw how many big Journal blocks there were and thought to myself “I am going to create a background with these”. Check out my step by step on the blog.
Cannot believe that our Barkley boy is gone. He would have been 2yr next month…I loved him to bits. He was a spoodle(poodle x spaniel)..and had the nicest nature.
I can home briefly from dropping Angus off at my sisters, to grab my wallet before heading to an appointment, and found him about 20metres from the driveway on the road. He was barely breathing, so I raced him to the vet which is literally 2 min away, but he was dead by the time I got there. There was nothing they could do.
…I know it has been a long time…almost 2 weeks! That is just not like me. So what excuses can I come up with…let me see…I have been busy doing some ‘secret’ scrapping that I cannot share yet, I have had a birthday party to plan for a 6year old, I have been helping my MIL find a house in Tasmania, as she is moving here from Adelaide, and I have been working a little more than usual…so I guess with all that added up, I have an excuse…SORT OF!
Anyway, I suppose I should share some layouts I did a last week for Anna’s Craft Cupboard using the October Afternoon Campfire range, and Cosmo Cricket Social Club range
and a little close-up, how cute are these little woodland critters
And this layout, where I have cut a fringe into the bottom edge of the kraft paper, and used little paper scrolls for a border
…on my 52 week album.
Who would have thought that keeping a weekly album would be so hard. I for one thought that I took HEAPS of photos, and often, but apparently not as often as I thought..ROFL
Anyways, here are weeks 7 & 8
and a little close-up for you
And here is Angus’ first day of school in week 8
and another close-up
got some gorgeous new Cosmo Cricket papers from Anna’s Craft Cupboard..the new SOCIAL CLUB range, and I have been having a play!
and a close-up of the cute little not
And then I also have been having a play with CAMPFIRE from October Afternoon…cute and outdoorsey!
close-up of the Prima flower
And here is another one
…at Inspired Blueprints #67 looks a lot like this
And this is how I played with it, using a great photo of my Sister Susan and Emma …
with a cute little close-up of the Scrapmatts journal frame and butterfly
Yet again the next month rolls around, where is this year going???
I have created a single photo sketch at Anna’s Craft Cupboard for you to play with, but you can adapt it to suit multiple photo’s if you wish.
And here is my version of the sketch, a cute cuddly picture of my kids and one of their cousins Evie, and Granma and Grandad
And a closeup of my clustering
If you haven’t played along at Anna’s before, or if you play along every month, I would love to see what you create with the sketch. The prize is a randomly drawn $40 voucher from the shop.
…Scrap The Boys is back…and they have a new challenge for you.
* FREEZE A MOMENT IN TIME *
This month your challenge is to use a specific TIME as your layout's title...
- Capture a moment in your day that you want to remember, part of your daily routine or something special the kids or hubby has on, or a specific day or moment that you want to remember.
You then need to use that time/date as your layout title.
Here is my example…I choose to do a Date!
