‘Just for Me’

…really…no competitions or deadlines???

Never heard of…are you sure!!!!!!!!!!!???????????!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!

Here are a couple of layouts I did, just because I wanted to try some new things and scrap for ME!

 

I have been wanting to create a RAINBOW inspired layout for ages, and I made this heart embellishment from odd buttons, odd paper scraps punched into butterflies, and a few bits of bling lying around.

Susan also challenges me to use a negatives strip on a layout…so I thought..PERFECT!

 

The next thing I have been wanting to try out is altering a background with mixed left over alphas and just white-washing with paint so the colour comes through a little.

I also found in my stash some Heidi Swapp chipboard pieces with resist on them…so I thought I would have a crack. I also mixed in a little WOW chipboard with the flowers

 

The last layout, is one that i have been wanting to do for ever….scrap my antenatal scan photos….and I found them the other day, so they were on my priority list of things to do

I have been wanting to use some of the black chipboard pieces from WOW, and I am in love with these butterflies

 

So there you go…I can scrap ‘Just for Me’…it isn’t always about sharing new products or doing challenges… sometimes it is just because this is why I scrap..to record memories and be CREATIVE.

Love is in the Air at Savvy

…for their February Cyber Crop.

Sar and the girls are hosting a great Cybercrop with a love theme, and I have played along managing a couple of challenges.

Firstly, Tara’s challenge was to create a Layout with the word ‘love’ somewhere, hearts and pink….so here it is

I have used a WOW chipboard title, and a few A lil’ Somethin’ pieces(pink butterfly, dictionary paper flower and calico heart)

 

Then I also had a crack at Jen’s challenge which was to create and use a heart mask…so here it is

I used a multi-heart punch and then used the negative space as a mask to mist over onto the tag. I have also used A Lil’ Somethin’ butterfly on this layout, and WOW alphas.

I know there is not much time, but you do have til Thursday to get your layouts up…so head on over and check the other challenges out

Monsters in my house…constantly

Yep..you read right…I have monsters everywhere in the house…sock monsters(who steal just one sock)…toilet roll monster (who eat all the toilet paper and leave the empty roll on the holder)….milk monsters(who out just a dribble of milk back in the fridge)….and the worst of all…the dreaded mess monsters (who wreck your house in the blink of an eye)

So I did a layout about one of them using a WOW title piece and cog frame

 

So there you have it…do you have monsters in your house too??

Multi-toning your chipboard

We probably have all coloured our chipboard in a single tone, but have you ever tried multi-toning?? Multi-toning is were you create a blended effect on your chipboard with 2 or more colours.

Check out this layout using WOW chipboard pieces

on the flaming wings, I have misted over it with Calico Shine mist to give it a shimmery effect

Enjoy playing around with colours on your chipboard....it is fun!

Had a chance this month…

White With 1 this month has the criteria: White, Lemon and 3 photos. in this layout I have used some WOW chipboard flourishes and a WOW title.

 

And then I also decided to do a layout for Daring You To Scrap again this month, with the challenge criteria to use a song as inspiration

EEEEEEkkkkk…..

Ok… so this layout was postively eek worthy to create….I HATE SNAKES!

I used some WOW chipboard flourishes to make this layout…who would have thought purple and aqua went together so well!

love the look of these flourishes!

More to Share…

I have 3 more layouts to share from my DT kit from Anna’s Craft Cupboard, some using Simple Stories ‘100 Days of Summer’.

 

this first one also features a few of our A Lil’ Somethin’ embellishments

 

this one I decided to get messy with and played around with some paints and inks on the background

 

This layout is done using the Crate paper ‘Paper hearts’ collection. So pretty!

How adorable are these pictures… Jazz had the biggest crush on Charlie when we met up again in January….so cute to watch.

Get ready to BLAST OFF….

…with my new DT kit from Anna’s Craft Cupboard because she sent me the ultra super cute ‘Blast Off’ range from 3 Bugs In A Rug. the colours are rust, mustard, blue and khaki…and the cute little critters and rockets are adorable

Here is a layout I did with a few different coloured mists splattered free-hand on the white cardstock and a simple layering of the elements and papers

And for this layout I used a Crafter’s Workshop template and also did some random splattering for the background effect

Some really cute 3 bugs girly papers are also available in the store so check them out too.

February is here…
