Tackling some Challenges

I have actually had time to get some challenges done around the place while the kids have been entertaining themselves while on holidays….Who’d have thunk it..ROFL

here is what I did with Kerryn’s Manufacturer challenge at Savvy….this month was My Minds Eye….I also used the MME blog sketch

my first WOW blog post for the year!

I decided to share my favourite technique of just colouring the chipboard to K.I.S.S. the chippie…..LOL

My favourite thing to do is to just colour the chipboard in black with a permanent marker, but lately I  have been experimenting with a different colour. RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For this layout I have used:

-Classic Lower Case Alphabet

-Linda Baldock Design mini leaf pack

-Picket fence

For this layout I have used:

-Family Time title piece

-Chloe Flourish

So when you are about to use some chipboard on your layout, try keeping it the main embellishment focus and K.I.S.S. your WOW chipboard!

Is there an Echo in here??

…Echo park that is…LOL

Loving this new ‘Yours Truely’ range from Echo Park that I got in my DT kit from Anna’s Craft Cupboard this month. How cute does the black, white, pink and red look together?

I created the background by using my Crafter’s Workshop template as a stamp rather than a mask…love the effect!

Who doesn’t love OA??

Don’t think I have found a scrapper that doesn’t adore October Afternoon…can they get a range wrong…I don’t think so. I was sent ‘Farmhouse’ with my Anna’s Craft Cupboard DT kit and here are a few things I have created with it so far

With this layout I have used some Prima flowers and Collections butterflies as accents

love the red in this range..looks amazing with some misting on the background cardstock!

NEWS for 2012

You may or may not have already read on FACEBOOK that I am part of the 2012 team at WOW again..!!!!!!!!!! It is super exciting to be asked back on board the team and create with this wonderful product.

Creating more with Prima

..as I said in an earlier post, i have a couple more things to share using the ‘Londonerry’ papers from Prima that came in my Anna’s Craft Cupboard DT kit

for this layouts I have focussed on the mauve and yellow elements in the collection, and used paint on the background cardstock for effect!

And then I created a couple of simple cards with the left over papers and some of the chipboard

I can tell you something for nothing…Anna at Anna’s Craft Cupboard sure does spoil her DT. I have had the best kits sent to me over the past few years, and this month is no exception.

I have been playing around with some Prima- Londonerry

I misted the background to bring out the pinks in the collection, and highlighted the yellow elements too

I have another layout and a few cards to share from this collection too, I just need to take some pictures.

I also currently have my Step-by-Step up on the blog using the NEW MME Funday papers

New baby and New challenge site

Just had to scrap the new Scrapper baby amongst my Scrappy friends. little Harper was born on 20th Dec 2011 to the gorgeous Melissa and Matt. Daring You to Scrap is a brand NEW challenge site setting new challenges for us scrappers…so it is fitting that New baby Harper be scrapped for this challenge.

the challenge was to use Scraps for the background of your layout!
